Maine

Maine is my favorite place. If you have never visited Maine, you need to add it to your list. The coastal areas of Maine are absolutely stunning (Midcoast is my favorite!) and the northern and western inland areas are beautifully forested and mountainous. There is something soothing and relaxing when sitting on the ledges on the coast and listening to the waves lap against the rocks. Seeing fishing boats and lobster boats with their crews working for a living really helps tell a story about Maine and the people that keep it running. Vacationland? Maybe, but I'm proud to say that I spent many years there and it reminds me of 'home'.
